Colonial Williamsburg, VA (Wed.11/6)

Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown make the historical triangle of US history. We could only “handle” one of them and chose Williamsburg. They do all the reenactments and role playing things and do a good job of involving people.

Clockwise from Top Left

  • The Court scene – covering what aspects of the judicial system were brought over from England and some major things that have changed for today.

  • Shoemaker

  • Gunsmith

  • Experiencing the people's reaction to the city's first reading of the Declaration of Independence

It was a full day and they tell you as you come in that you can't do it all in one day – it's true. We were caught a little between ages as by mid afternoon Levi and Elan were up for more and Shae and Kobe had long since been done.

We were hoping to combine a history lesson with free babysitting but none of these pillory closed tight enough to keep the kids there.
