Mt. Rainier, WA (Tue.4/1)

Mount Rainier at 14,409 feet is the highest and third most voluminous volcano of the Cascade Range.

Another big mountain that creates its own weather and decides to make clouds most of the time. In order to get a good picture, we knew we had to get above the clouds. After climbing to the top of Rainier, Ed took this photo with his wide angle lens. It turned out nice.

Actually, we went for a short hike in the snow. Some people had snow shoes, but they weren't really necessary if you stayed on the hard-packed path. “Rules boys don't follow” #238 will tell you that boys do not stay on the path however.

It was a fun day as we got to tailgate with the Leberts: PB&J's on the way there and Little Ceaser's on the way home.

It was great to talk to all of you tonight. I'm sure it will be hard to leave the Lebert's. Great picture of Graham and the boys in the snow! Praying, as always, for safe travel as you head south again.
Much love, Grampa and Bobo
